About The Artist

Our lead photographer Tim O'Brien is an international award winning photographer. Not all awards are created equal. When you hear a photographer is award winning, what does that mean? The state fair, an internet contest, a photo club? Yes it can be. However Tim O'Brien has won the Professional Photographer of America's 2008 International Photographer of the Year award. One of the highest achievements in the industry. To win this award not only do you have to merit an image in competition, all of the images you enter must merit, an accomplishment only completed by less that 1% of the photographers in the world. Tim started photography as a child when his father worked for the newspaper, he took formal classes in high school almost 25 years ago. He has been a full time freelance photographer for almost the past 10 years. He shoots a variety of styles and intentionally tries to make his work diverse. He says when you look at my work and can tell it is mine, then I have failed. He wants to shoot in a style that the client likes and to produce a product that they enjoy looking at, He has in own likes and personal preference but he does not try to force that on his clients.

Tim also has an in depth background in computer and graphic design, He is the co-author of a Microsoft Press computer book as well as doing programming and technical support for one of the largest software companies in the world. He utilizes these skills in creating robust applications as well as applying this expertise to various development projects. He also utilizes these skills in a digital photographic world. Some of his art pieces are collected world wide.

Founded on the premise that we want to treat our customers the way we want to be treated, to provide a good quality product at reasonable price. The word Mungo is from Scottish decent and means "dear one". We feel that everyone that want a photo usually wants a photo of someone that is dear to them or the photo is dear to the artist that creates it. The president Cindy O'Brien has almost 30 years of administrative, bookkeeping and management experience. When you call to schedule an appointment or need a billing question answered she is the one that will be able to assist you. Cindy's in depth administrative and accounting, and Tim's extensive technical, marketing and creative talents meld wonderfully together and make Mungo Studios the small yet dynamic company that it is today.
